The
NEW tandoori ovens presented here were developed by Ron Levy, a
noted ceramist and perhaps the leading authority in the USA on
the design and manufacturing of tandoors. These tandoors represent
years of clay composition and manufacturing research. Tandoors
by Ron Levy, LLC has combined knowledge of ceramic science with
age-old tradition to design new tandoors with many innovative features
- Self contained with high-tech, lightweight insulation

Ron Levy began working with ceramics back in the 70’s becoming
well known in the art world for his oversized ceramic pots. This
work developed his technical, aesthetic and engineering skills
and soon restaurants began calling him to build tandoor ovens.
He's been building tandoors for over 35 years now and his work
is used by restaurants throughout the US and Canada for over 30
years such as Dawat, Bukhara Grill, Bombay Club, Jackson Diner,
Moby Dick House of Kabob, Bombay Palace and more. This is a testimony
to the quality and durability of Ron Levy Tandoors.
Currently demand for Tandoors by Ron Levy is exceeding production.
With the recent NSF Approval of Tandoors by Ron Levy demand is anticipated to further grow. In order to meet demand, Tandoors by Ron Levy, LLC are now being manufactured by Superior Clay Corp, Urichsville, Ohio.
The success of Ron Levy’s tandoors has always been about
his clay and how it is pre fired. Mr. Levy has worked closely with
Superior Clay to produce a clay equal to the clay Ron Levy has
been using for over 30 years. Like the tandoors by Ron Levy, they
are pre fired to 1,000 degrees C. They have been extensively tested
and cook to perfection. These new tandoors represent the highest
quality and durability that has become the trademark of tandoors
by Ron Levy.
